The base of the fireplace is actually just your run of the mill place heater that plugs directly into the wall. While the top of the unit is a LCD screen that displays a pretty good image of a fireplace. For 25,000 Yen or $241 USD, pretty cheap if you ask us, you can get a sweet faux fireplace that actually heats.
